Celebration of life services for Virginia Mildred Trotter, 93, of Dallas, Texas will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, November 25, 2024, at Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home in Mabank, Texas with Sammy J. Vitovsky officiating. Visitation with the family will be held prior to the service beginning at 1:00 pm.
Virginia passed from this life on November 17, 2024 in her home peacefully. She was born on February 12, 1931, in Kemp, Texas to Jackson Columbus and Lena Mae (Brown) Wood. She grew up in Seven Points, Texas where she was raised on a farm, and grew up with a passion for raising and riding horses. Virginia was blessed with 5 children that she adored. She enjoyed spending as much time as possible with her children and her grandchildren over the years. Virginia spent many years working as a waitress before later in life she found her passion as an in-home caregiver and changed her occupation. Virginia looked forward to family gatherings and going out to eat with family and friends. She enjoyed traveling, taking her grandchildren on vacations, to amusement parks, concerts and local events in her community. In her later years Virginia enjoyed taking care of and watching her pets play.She often looked forward to her visits and phone calls from family.
Virginia is preceded in death by her daughters: Rita Watkins, Teresa Hassell; granddaughter, Chrystal Gail Hassell; parents, Jack and Lena Wood; brothers: J.L. Wood, Gerald Wood; sisters: Evelyn Chewning and Brenda Joy Wood.
She is survived by her family, daughters: Marsha Brinlee, Tina Cisneros; son, Sammy Vitovsky and wife Shirley; 12 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; 9 great-great grandchildren; sister, Linda Engledow; and brother, James Wood.
Pallbearers will be Chris Wood, Timothy Vitozsky, Tony Carr, Daniel Couch and Houston Brinlee.
