Wanda Delores Graham Sheram was born on May 21, 1933 in Eustace, TX to parents Thomas A. Graham and Bertha Allison Graham. She passed away on May 16, 2021 in Tyler, TX. She grew up in Eustace, TX and later Channelview, TX. As a teen, Wanda was a member of the International order of the Rainbow Girls. She graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in Baytown, TX in 1951 and received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, TX. She and her high school sweetheart, Ralph Sheram were married on July 25, 1953. They had two children, Cynthia and Tom. Wanda was an elementary school teacher at Pasadena ISD and Canton ISD. She and her husband Ralph also owned Richmond Florist in Mabank, Texas for many years.
Wanda was a talented seamstress from a young age. In her retirement years she took up quilting. She was a member of the Texas Star Quilt Guild of Canton for many years. She was also a charter and current member of the Gun Barrel Quilters Guild of Mabank, TX. Her quilts won numerous awards at area quilt shows.
Wanda was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Sheram, and parents Thomas and Bertha Graham. She is survived by daughter, Cynthia Allen and husband Clyde of Buffalo, TX; son, Tom Sheram and wife Norma of LaRue, TX; grandsons, Joel Black and wife Destiny of Teague, TX; Martin Black and wife Marsha of Buffalo, TX; Clyde Allen , Jr. and wife Rosalind of Katy, TX; and Kelsey Sheram and wife Traci of Flint, TX; great grandchildren Carson Black, Jackson Black, Bryceson Black, Emery Black, Parker Black, Bella Allen, Ashlynn Allen, and soon to arrive Mason Sheram.
