Wesley Glenn Boyde was born on June 7, 1970, to parents Jimmy Glenn and Glenda Kay Boyde. He entered eternal rest on December 5, 2020, with his best friend, his loving wife Donda, by his side. Wesley married the love of his life, Donda, on July 26, 1996 at their home church, Central Baptist Church in Athens, TX. The tremendous faith they have in God set them on the path of peace and joy. Together they built a beautiful life of love and laughter. Though they never had children of their own, Wesley and Donda had many children they called their own. Wesley was affectionately known as “Uncle Bubba” to his kids. Wesley was always a big kid at heart and was always ready with a joke and a smile. He loved Peanuts and anything Charlie Brown, sharing this love with his wife of 25 years. Family was the most important thing in his life, he was a devoted husband, brother, “Uncle Bubba” and adopted dad to many. Wesley was a hard worker and manager for KFC and Mc Donald’s for many years. In his free time he enjoyed fishing and football, he was a huge Texas A&M fan, but he really loved to spend time crocheting. His family takes comfort in knowing that his battle is now over and his pain relieved. He is fishing in Heaven at the most beautiful lake ever created catching his trophy bass and singing praises to our Lord and Savior. Wesley was such a kind and gentle soul and will be missed tremendously by everyone who knew him.
Wesley was preceded in death by his parents, Jimmy Glenn and Glenda Kay Boyde, both paternal and maternal grandparents, and his mother-in-law, Ola Maye Huffman. He is survived by his wife, Donda Boyde; sisters, Tracey Delorey and husband William, Angela Faulk and husband Brian, Marcella McKenzie and husband Jeremy; brothers, Danny Johnson and wife Katherine, Jason Herrera and partner Addie; father-in-law Walter Huffman; brother-in-law, Patrick Huffman and wife Mandy. He left behind many nieces, nephews, family and many children who loved him like a father.
