Allen P Molly, age 76, of South Beloit, Illinois, passed away on Saturday, January 3, 2026, in Beloit, Wisconsin. He was born February 19, 1949 to Oliver and Bernice Molly in St. Louis, Missouri as one of twelve children. Al served in the Army in Vietnam from 1968-1970, 11B Co B 3rd Bn 506th Inf (Currahees). He was extremely proud of his service to our country and to his local community. He was a member of the Local Union 110 in St. Louis and 1268 in Belvidere. On September 23, 1975 Al married the love of his life, Nancy; they spent 46 beautiful years together before she passed in 2021. Al was a natural athlete, he enjoyed playing any sport, especially golf and softball. He was an expert at smoking meats.
Al is survived by his children, Tom (Denise) Perrin, Brett (Pamela) Perrin, Dyonna (Cecil) Johnson, and Sherrie (Ed) Castro; grandchildren, Tom (Melissa) Perrin Jr., Ashley (Jillian) Peterson-Perrin, Savannah Perrin, Destinee (Jesus) Perrin, Brock Perrin, Benjamin (Sadie) Johnson, Brandon (Deanna) Johnson, Jessica (Tim) Johnson, Jake (Paige) Castro, and Dylan (Sam) Castro; many great-grandchildren; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Molly; and parents, Oliver and Bernice Molly.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
A visitation for Al will be held on Monday, January 12 from 9:00 am to 10:00 am at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N Alpine Rd Machesney Park, IL, 61115 with a service to follow at 10:00 am. Entombment rites will occur.
