Bernice M McClure

Bernice McClure, 83, of Rockford passed away February 29, 2012 at Emeritus Nursing Home in Rockford.

She was born April 29, 1928 in Effingham, IL the daughter of Houston and Gertie Hilt she married Godfrey McClure on December 25, 1946 he preceded her in death on October 11, 2010.

Bernice is survived by her sons; Tim (Bonnie) McClure and Gary (Sandy) McClure, her grandchildren; Kelly (Ed) Klassen, Scott (Tina) McClure ,Katie (Danny) Hawley and Brian McClure, six great-grandchildren and one sister Alberta Apke.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00a.m. at Sunset Funeral home 8800 North Alpine Road in Machesney park on Saturday March 3, 2012. A visitation will take place the evening prior on Friday March 2, 2012 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm also at Sunset Funeral Home. Entombment will take place following funeral services at Sunset Memorial Gardens at 8800 North Alpine Road in Machesney Park.

Rev. Anthony Maynard will be officiating services.

Memorials may be made in lieu of flowers to Heartland Hospice.

The family would like to give a special thank you to all the staff of Heartland Hospice and especially to the staff of the memory care unit of Emeritus for all the wonderful care they gave to Bernice.
