Betty J. Hill, aged 80, of Loves Park, Illinois passed away with her loving son by her side on Saturday, June 6, 2026. She was born May 17, 1946 in Belvidere, Illinois to Harold and Juanita (Jackson) Heidenreich. Betty graduated from Marengo High School in 1964 and went on to Rockford Business School for a few years. She married the love of her life, Tommie Hill, on June 14, 1969 at Bethany Presbyterian Church and they spent 41 wonderful years together before he passed in 2010.
Betty was a member of Bethany Presbyterian Church for many years. She was a member of the Teamsters Local 325 Retirees Club. She worked at a bank in downtown Rockford for many years before going to Rockford Clutch where she was employed as a secretary. She enjoyed joining the Teamsters Retirees on their bus trips. Betty was very proud of how her house looked, she always made sure her garden was full of beautiful flowers, especially Black-eyed Susans. Every holiday she would have decorated the yard, her favorites were Halloween and Christmas when she went all out.
Betty is survived by her son, Terry Hill; stepdaughters, Virginia Chamberlain, Rachel Kraft, and Deborah Lindstrom; siblings, Linda (Glenn) Smith and Donald (Wendy) Heidenreich; and nieces and nephews, Michael Heidenreich, Lesley Macki, and Jarrod Smith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Tommie Hill; parents, Harold and Juanita Heidenreich; and nephew, Richard Heidenreich.
A graveside service for Betty will be held Monday, June 15 at 11:00am at Sunset Memorial Gardens 8800 N Alpine Rd, Machesney Park, IL 61115.
