Betty Lou Hutchins of Loves Park passed away on March 6, 2021 in Javon Bea Hospital in Rockford. Born February 3, 1931 to Earnest and Gladys Strampe in Fort Arkinson, Wi. Married Donald Hutchins on August 11, 1951 in Rockford. They shared 55 years of marriage before his passing in 2006. Betty graduated from Hanover High School. She worked as a bookkeeper for various small Rockford area businesses before retiring. Betty loved her family dearly She was an avid bowler for many years after retirement and earned several bowling trophies at the Park Lanes Bowl in Loves Park. She loved to travel and took many trips to various places in the US. She always enjoyed following the games and scores of the Chicago Bears and Cubs.
She is survived by her daughters, Linda (Joe) White of Machesney Park and Karen (Barry) Friedman of Prescott Valley, AZ. Grandchildren Joseph White of Rockford, Traci (Kris) Cutler of Roscoe and Alexandra Long of Rockford. Three great grand children- Camden, Colton, and Gianna Cutler of Roscoe.
She is predeceased by her parents, husband Donald, daughter Donna (Brian) Long, and brothers Robert and Richard. A special thank you to Alpine Fireside nursing home staff. Services for Betty are private to family, with burial at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
