Beverly Rose Ennis, 88, of Loves Park, Illinois, passed away peacefully and surrounded by her family on Monday, August 3, 2026, in Rockford. Beverly was born to George Hedlund and Helen Bryant in Rockford on October 4, 1937. Beverly graduated from Harlem High School. From there, she began her career as a secretary. Because of this job, Beverly had a special knack for organizing, writing letters, and leaving special notes that left you feeling loved.
Although she could be stubborn at times, she had a good heart. Her world revolved around her family, as she spent time with each of them as often as she could, especially her great-great grandchildren. Beverly truly loved being a grandma. She also called to check on you if she couldn’t be there, always ending the conversation with, “I love you more than a bushel and a peck”.
Beverly also loved listening and dancing to music, especially if it was Tom Jones, Elvis, or Engelbert Humperdink.
Beverly is survived by her daughters, Lynne Hillyer and Nicole Ennis; grandchildren, Victoria (Jimmy) Ennis, Brandon Ennis, and Brad (Carrie) Stayner; great-grandchildren, Genevieve Rose (Latrell) Stayner, Khylie Lundin, Kai Lenz, Jonah Lenz, and Gabriella Santa Cruz; great-great grandchildren, Paxton Sananisai, Avery Sananisai, Kayson Hagen, Elijah Quast, and Baby “L” Rose arriving soon; several siblings; nieces, Vicki Kay, Shelly (Rick) Fair; nephew, Jeff Martinez; great nieces and nephews, Dustin Kay, Matt Fair, and Shannon Fair, Sarah (Bill) Frank; special daughter, Tammy Draheim.
Beverly was reunited in heaven with her daughter, Sherry Scott; holding her great-great grandson, Lyhlo Graham; parents, George Hedlund and Helen Bryant; several siblings.
As Beverly would say, “Tutu and a Tatta”.
