William McBride was born in Rockford, Illinois on July 26, 1960 to James and Gloria (nee Green) McBride. Bill passed away on July 25, 2020. Bill graduated from Harlem High School in 1978. In high school Bill began his carpentry career and went on to own his own business for 10 years. In 1989 Bill married the love of his life, Denise Gilbaugh. They started a family together in 1992 when their first daughter Sarah was born. Four years later their second daughter, Kate was born. Bill was an outdoorsman; if he wasn’t spending time with his family or working, you could bet he was either hunting or fishing.

Bill is survived by his wife, Denise McBride; mother, Gloria McBride; daughters, Sarah and Kate McBride; siblings, Cissy (Daniel) Harrell and Dave McBride; nieces and nephews, Kristen, Lindsey, Patrick, Ryan and John David. Bill was preceded in death by his father, James McBride and brother, Randy McBride.

A Celebration of Life Walk Through Visitation will be held Thursday, July 30, 2020 from 5pm to 8pm at Sunset Funeral Home (8800 N. Alpine Rd, Machesney Park, IL 61115). A Celebration of Life will be held for close relatives and friends on Friday, July 31, 2020 at 4pm at Atwood Homestead Old Settler’s Pavilion (8990 Old River Rd, Rockford, IL 61103).
