DURAND, IL. Billy H. Romine, 81, was welcomed into heaven on Tuesday, May 26, 2015. Born October 10, 1933 in Swifton, Arkansas. He married Wilma Hopkins and together shared 59 years while raising their five sons. Billy led a career in automotive repair and owned Broadway Sunoco. He had a passion for gardening, country music, and his family. He was a member of the Masons.
Survivors: wife, Wilma; sons, Wayne (Lisa), Keith (Cheryl), Kevin (Wendy), Scot (Melissa), and Larry Romine; grandchildren, Grant, Jared, Kyle , Ashton, Taylor,Tyler and Ethan Romine, Sabrina Gorton; great-grandchild, Brynn Romine; brothers, Edward and Clarence Romine. Predeceased by parents; siblings, Marie George, Jane Hulett and James Romine.
Services: 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 29, 2015 at Sunset Funeral Home 88oo N. Alpine Rd. Machesney Park, Il. Visitation: 1:00 until time of service. Burial at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
