Bonnie Lou (Girard) Anderson, 82, of Rockford died Friday, October 19, from complications following a stroke. She is dearly missed. Born on May 17, 1930 in Ladysmith, Wisconsin, she was the daughter of Arthur and Anna (Matecky) Girard.
After graduating high school, Bonnie studied Fine Art at Rae Vogue and The Art Institute of Chicago, Later working for The Silvestri Display Company.
Bonnie, “Pookie”, married Tom Anderson in November of 1951 and after living in Cody, Wyoming and Beloit, Wisconsin, settled in Rockford where she raised her three sons, Todd, Fritz, and Daniel.
With her love of art, Bonnie spent her years both taking and teaching many classes. A talent that was passed to her sons and reborn in her cherished granddaughters.
She leaves behind her husband, Tom; sons, Todd (Paula), Fritz (Kel), and Dan (Sally); granddaughters, Holly, Bridget, and Vivian; and her sister, Geraldine Pratt.
She was predeceased by her parents, infant son, Fritz James; brothers, Warren and James Girard; and a sister, Annamae Girard.
