Went to be with the Lord, peacefully in her home on January 6, 2022 at the age of 79. She was born January 31, 1942 in Rockford, Illinois. The daughter of William Michelsen and Norma (Browman). Bonnie married Robert McHoes on December 29, 1972 in Rockford, Illinois. Bonnie was employed by WA Whitney for several years. She was co-owner of B & B Towel Service prior to retiring. Bonnie attended Imanuel Lutheran Church in Belvidere. She attended East High School and subsequently earned an associates degree in business. She was active with the Harmony Singing Society which was co founded by her grandfather. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society for many years. Bonnie enjoyed playing the accordian. She served on the Candlewick Finance Committee as well. Bonnie is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Robert McHoes, Their Children: Todd (Shelly) Frisella, Paul (Patty) Frisella. Diane (George) Hertzner, Son in law Jim Cass, and sister Judy Slocum, as well as several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Pre deceased by both parents and her brother, Steve Michelsen, daughter Deeann Cass, brother in law William (Candy) McHoes and grandson Jacob Frisella as well as her previous husband, Samuel Frisella. Special thanks to St. Croix Hospice Services as well as close friends, Marge Olson, Char Hoffman, Barb Applehans, Joe Hodor, Don and Linda Tripichio who provided loving support during Bonnie's last days at home.
Memorial Service will be on 2:30 p.m., Thursday, January 13, 2022 at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine Rd, Machesney Park, IL 61115 with a visitation to be held from 12:30-2:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Inurnment in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
