Although I only spent two short weeks with Brianna at MDA Camp, she had a huge impact on my life. Brianna's determination to live a meaningful life and touch others was present from the young age when I met her (barely 7). I've thought of her, and your family, often over the years as I've grown up myself and her strength, compassion, and spunk have stuck with me and will continue to stick with me. She clearly touched many, many people. She was a truly special light in the world and her memory will continue to live on in those she touched. I know that no words can truly comfort you at this time, but know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Todd and Tammy I am saddened and sorry for the loss of your Brianna. She was a beautiful girl with special gifts and I fondly remember holding her in my arms as an infant when you brought her to the bank so I could meet her. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

We are so sorry Brianna has left this world. She knew with SMA her days may be shorter than others, yet she chose to spend her time in the service of the SMA community. She was wise beyond her years, and we credit her as being a significant part of why our Getty (SMA1) has lived so well. We cannot thank Brianna enough and thank her family for helping Brianna become a beacon of hope for so many around the world.
