Carol Ann Segalla

Carol married John S. Segalla on January 26, 1956 in Hebron IL. She worked 33 years as a telephone operator. Carol enjoyed attending drum and bugle corps competitions, plays, and musicals. Family card and game nights were always a favorite, as well as attending sporting events of her grandchildren. She also enjoyed playing the keyboard.

Carol is survived by her children, Deborah (Larry) Pelley of Machesney Park, IL, Randy (Lisa) Segalla of Bonita Springs, FL, Rhonda (Wayne) Fletcher of Loves Park, IL, Renatta (Mike) Meyer of Machesney Park, IL, Roxanne Segalla of Loves Park, IL and Dianne Segalla of Loves Park, IL; grandchildren, Tony Segalla, Aaron (Allison) Pelley, Meghan (Mark) Hawkinson, Caitlyn Segalla, Ryan Fletcher, Jaime (Damion) Foreman, Michael Meyer, Eric (Jordynn) Meyer, Jessica (Storm) Pagel and Emma Segalla; great-grandchildren, Molli, Mallori, Marek, Miles, Jayde, Aaliyah and Ayden; several nieces and nephews plus special family friends, John and Anita Costello. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, John in 2005 and son, Richard in 2001.

The family would like to thank the University of Wisconsin Carbone Cancer Center, Dr. Evie Carchman and Serenity Hospice nurse CJ for their care and compassion.

A funeral Service will be on Thursday, March 10th at 10 a.m. at Sunset Funeral Home with visitation from 9:00 a.m. until service time. Entombment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Carol’s name to the charity of the donor’s choice.
