Carol was born on December 20, 1939 in Valparaiso, IN, the daughter of Harold and Belva Drevs. She married Edward Douglas Dawson and he preceded her in death in 1969, she then married Jim Terrell in 1972. Carol was a 1957 graduate of West High School and lived in Rockford for 68 years before moving to FL. Carol was a long time employee of Amerock Corporation. She was a loving wife, devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt.
Carol is survived by her husband Jim Terrell; son Doug Dawson (Alta); daughters Pam Dawson-Rundle (Kim) and Tina Lasely (Sam); five grandsons, one granddaughter “The Terminator”, two great-grandsons and her dearest and life long friend Nancy Loofborf of FL.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, one sister and one brother.
A service to celebrate Carol’s life will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday July 18, 2013 at the S. Beloit American Legion, 1606 Blackhawk Blvd in S. Beloit, IL, with Pastor Nate Yeske officiating.
