Rockford- Charles (Chuck) Beecher, 83, passed away at home surrounded by his family march 23, 2012. Chuck worked at Dubuque Packing house in Dubuque IA , Greenlees in Rockford and retired from Pinnions Grocery Store as a butcher. He enjoyed fishing on the Mississippi in Dubuque. Chuck Served his country in the U.S Army and the Korean War. He is survived by his wife Mary of 33 years, son and daughter Robert and Lori of Washington State, Daughter Theresa of Dubuque IA, sons, Robert, John (Kris), James, and Daughter Barbara (Rick) all from Rockford, 13 grandchildren , 2 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded by parents, 2 sisters and 7 brothers. Special Thank you to Ernestine Beasley and Molly from VNA Hospice. Memorials may be made to the family. A visitation will be held Tuesday March 27 from 12-2pm at Sunset Funeral Home 8800 N Alpine Road. A funeral service will follow at 2pm. Interment at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
