Cheryl M Andersen

Cheryl Andersen, 64, Rockford, passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family, after a four year long courageous battle with cancer. She was born on June 10, 1948 to Lloyd and Arlene Sadler in Ladysmith Wisconsin. Cheryl married Gary Andersen on April 29, 1967 and was an avid bowler, loved fishing ,bird watching, arts and crafts, collecting Native American artifacts and especially helping people. Cheryl is survived by her husband, Gary Andersen; her daughters, Jeri Andersen, Mary Andersen and Wendy (Steve) Domrzalski; her grandchildren, Garrett (Kayla) Andersen, Keely Andersen and Jolie Andersen; her brothers, Joseph Hull, Kevin Hull and Tracy Conkling, and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Jolene Gross. The family would like to say a special thanks to the OSF Hospice nurses and staff. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine Road, Machesney Park. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at Sunset Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family. Online condolences may be submitted at
