Corinne Widell, 85, of Rockford passed away Thursday, September 2, 2010 at St. Anthony’s Hospital. Born September 24, 1924 in Rockford, IL the daughter of Axel and Nettie Larson. She was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church and St. Mark’s Women’s group. Corinne worked for Rockford Life Insurance for many years. Her true passion was being a wife, mother, grandmother and volunteering for 38 years at Swedish American Hospital. Corinne married William F. Widell, he preceded her in death. Survivors include her children, Nancy Benjamin, Kristy (Tom) Miller, John (Sharon) Widell; grandchildren, Chris (Christine) Widell, Jon Widell, Kayla (Casey) Bankord, Julie Benjamin, Michael Benjamin, Kacie Benjamin, Brandon Miller, Lindsey Miller and her sister Dolores (Willard) Larson. She was predeceased by her brother John Harold Larson. Memorial services will be 11:30 am Saturday, September 11, 2010 at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine, Machesney Park, IL.
