Dan Wicklund

Dan K. Wicklund, 62, of Cherry Valley, Illinois, passed away on July 20, 2026. Dan was born on April 28, 1964, in Rockford, to Glenn and Marion Wicklund. He graduated from Jefferson High School. Dan was a Lineman for Intren for most of his career and was a part of the local IBEW 196.

Throughout his life, Dan enjoyed playing golf. As he got older, he had more opportunities to get out on the course and enjoy his time outdoors. He was one to keep busy and always found something to do, as he was extremely hardworking. Dan also loved to cheer on the Green Bay Packers every Sunday during football season. More recently, he joined the SMSF club and looked forward to his time socializing with others. Above all else, Dan was extremely caring and always had his family on his mind.

Dan is survived by his sons, Benjamin (Kayla) Wicklund and Noah Wicklund; mother, Marion Wicklund; nephew, Matt (Danielle) Stokes; niece, Haley (Jake) Jevitz; partner, Kim Oswald.

He was preceded in death by his father, Glenn; sister, Sally Stokes; brother, Gary Wicklund.

A Celebration of Life for Dan will be announced in the near future.
