Darlene I. Oberg

Darlene I. Oberg, 85, of Rockford died February 4, 2011 at Swedish American Hospital. Born October 3, 1925 in Centerville, IA the daughter of Richard and Verna (Davis) Kirby. She was the former President of the North Suburban Women’s Club in Loves Park. Darlene married Frank Edwin Oberg March 28, 1944; he preceded her in death April 29, 2005. Survivors include sons, Frank Edwin (Charla) Oberg Jr., Timothy Craig (Susan) Oberg, Daniel Clayton Oberg; grandchildren, Lisa (Todd) Joyce, Lori (Paul) Acorn, Michael (Heather) Oberg, Deborah Oberg, Sarah (John) Parnello; great-grandchildren, Owen, Ryan and Reed Joyce, Charlie and Ella Acorn, John Timothy and Elaina Parnello. Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday, February 6, 2011 at Sunset Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to services. Entombment will be private in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
