Darwin M. Harwood

Darwin M. Harwood, 87, passed away at his home in Palmetto, FL on Sunday, March 1, 2015. He was lovingly surrounded by his wife of nearly 65 years and family. He was born on December 14, 1927, in Richland Center, WI.

Dar spent his adult life in Machesney Park, IL, working for the Harlem High School District.

Survivors include wife, Ann M. Harwood; daughters, Diane (Tim) Wincapaw, Linda (Jerry) Spataro, Tammy (Hank) Lipinski, Pammy (Bob) Phillips, Kimmie (Jon) Pothour, Sonnie Harwood, Peggy (Jim) Halcom, "#6", Sharon Olson; twin sister, Dot (Lyle) Pinkham, sisters, Delight (Bob) Totten and Jan Harwood, all of Richland Center, WI. Darwin and Ann have been blessed with 16 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Pre-deceased by his son, Danny Harwood; grandsons, Shawn Wincapaw, Daniel Pothour; parents; seven brothers; and one sister.

Memorial service 10 a.m. Saturday, June 13th, at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine Road, Machesney Park; Pastor Brent Dahlseng officiating. Visitation one hour prior to service. Interment in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Online condolences may be submitted at sunsetfhmemgardens.com
