David Richard Perry

David was born on May 13, 1945 in Ashtabula, Ohio, the son of Armando V. Alvarado and Margaret O. Tobias. David was a veteran of the U. S. Army serving in Viet Nam; he was a member of the American Legion. David was of the Catholic Faith and donated to the ASPCA.

David is survived by his siblings: Esther Alvarado Sanchez (John), Gerald Alvarado (Eleanor), Carolyn Roosen (Jeff), Randolph Alvarado (deceased), Jeffrey Alvarado (Mary), Wayne Alvarado, Robert Alvarado, Joseph Alvarado (deceased), Michael Alvarado (Dawn), Sherrie Alvarado, Jacqueline Alvarado Allen (William) and Timothy Alvarado (Bonnie); daughter Kelly Perry; son David Perry, Jr.; daughter Leyna Perry-Jones; grandchildren Jordan, Cameron, Jennifer, Lauren, Brianne, Alexis and Heather; great-granddaughter Molly; caregiver and niece Crystal (Edwin) Alvarado-Burgos and children; several other nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and his favorite companion Butterball.

David was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Kimberly Perry, brothers Randy and Joseph.

A visitation to celebrate David’s life will be Sunday August 9, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with comments starting at 7:00 p.m. at Sunset Funeral Home 8800 N. Alpine Road in Machesney Park. Burial with Military Honors will be at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL on Monday August 10, 2015 beginning at 11:00 a.m.
