Deborah Rigden

Deborah Marie Rigden, 64, of Loves Park IL, passed away January 11, 2022. She was born on February 26, 1957 in Missouri to Ethel and Virgil Slavings. Deborah was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend. She worked for many years at the K-Café in K-mart, and worked with much of her family by her side throughout the years there. She enjoyed baking fudge and pies for her family, just the way they liked them. Deborah also enjoyed relaxing and watching CSI as well as the Young and the Restless. She also enjoyed sewing, knitting, and making dolls. She will be missed by many.

She is survived by her son; Jeremy (Jeni) Rigden, grandson; Justin Rigden, mother; Marie Slavings, brother; Stan (Debbie) Slavings, niece Trisha Slavings; nephews, Nathan Heckman, Adam Slavings, Christopher Slavings, Jacob Crandall, and Joseph Slavings, great nieces; Emily Watts, Alexia Heckman, as well as great nephew; Jeffrey Heckman. She is also survived by numerous aunts and uncles and cousins whom she loved dearly. She is predeceased by her father; Virgil Slavings, brother; Rick Slavings, and sister; Phyllis Heckman. A funeral service for Deborah is scheduled for Tuesday January 18, at 2PM at Sunset Funeral Home. Located at 8800 N. Alpine Rd. Machesney Park IL 61115. A visitation will take place at 1PM until the time of service.
