

Debra Barclay, 56 of Loves Park passed away on November 1, 2013 at Journey Care in Woodstock after a brave battle with cancer. Born April 15, 1957 in Oak Park, she was the daughter of Richard and Marjorie (Schoon) Vercillo. She married Kenneth Barclay on July 12, 1975 in Loves Park.
A Certified Public Accountant, Debra graduated from Harlem High in 1974, and Rockford College where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting.
A giver at heart, she devoted much of her time to many different charities such as Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Habitat for Humanity, and Special Olympics.
Survivors include her husband of 38 years, Kenneth Barclay; father, Richard Vercillo; brothers, Thomas E. Campbell, and Michael Krulac; sister, Cindy (Nicholas) Bjurman; 4 step brothers; 1 step sister; god children, Richard Campbell, Jason Bender, Paula Zillhart, Melissa and Kayla Hopkins; dear friend, Jane DeBo; sisters in law, Ramona (Gene) Harne, Loretta (John) Johnson, and Beverly Barclay; brothers in law, Floyd (Anne), Duane (Bev), Keith, and Rodney (Mary) Barclay; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She was predeceased by her mother, grandparents, mother and father in law, 1 step brother, 2 brothers in law and 1 sister in law.
Visitation, 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, November 4, at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine Road, Machesney Park. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to a charity of your choice. Online condolences may be submitted at sunsetfhmemgardens.com
