Dennis Ray Swanson Jr., 61, of Rockford, Illinois, passed June 13 2026, he resided in Carbondale for the last 41 years. Born on June 7 1965, in Rockford, Illinois. He was the son of Dennis Sr. and Paula (Marlow) Swanson, both predeceased. Sustained a TBI from a motorcycle accident in June 1985, leaving behind brothers, Mark (Karen) Swanson, Darren (Dorothy) Swanson, Robert (Sabrina) Swanson; sister, Michele (Trinity) Critchfield; guardians uncle Salvatore Marlow and aunt Marianne Marlow, aunt Cathy (Robert) Osterman, uncle Jim (Brenda) Marlow; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Celebration of life from 1:00-200 p.m., Friday, July 10, 2026 at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine Rd, Machesney Park, IL 61115 with a memorial service to begin at 2:00 p.m. Entombment in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
