Rhen (DeRhenda) Straub (Hart) 68, passed away October 5, 2022, at home in Rockford, IL with family by her side. She was born November 23, 1954, in Poplar Bluff MO to Leo Hart & Jean (Dick) LaValley. Rhen married her husband Denny in 1996 and she worked at RPS 205 as a School Bus Driver/Office for 26 years and made many friends that turned into family. Rhen attended Gentle Shepherd Fellowship for over 30 years in Rockford IL. Survivors include her devoted husband Denny Straub, mother Jean LaValley, son Jason (Shannon) Baldridge and daughter Tamarah Baldridge. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Caity, Isaiah, Alyssa, Natasjah, Andre, Bryanah and Jaylah as well as her 4 great grandchildren (Easton, A’layah, Colton and Pierrez. Rhen was predeceased by her father Leo, Stepfather Dick LaValley, brothers Stan & Burnie and sister Debbie. She was a kind and gentle woman, a loving wife, daughter, sister, mother, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother.
Services will be held at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home on Thursday 10/13/2022 at 6 pm with visitation immediately before starting at 4:30 pm.
