Dominic Nicosia

Dominic Nicosia, 61, of Rockford, IL, passed away surrounded by loving family on July 2nd, 2021. He was born December 27, 1959 in Montreal, Canada, the son of Joseph and Catherine (Agnello) Nicosia. Dominic graduated from Harlem High School, class of 1978. He married the love of his life, Atonnia Crawford, on April 8, 1978.

Dominic is survived by his wife of 43 years, Atonnia, his three children, Dominic (Jill), Nick (Steven), and Tileena (Eric), five grandchildren (Trevor, Aidan, Nadia, Peyton, Atileena), and one great grandchild (Alaina), and his three siblings, Joseph (Valerie), Frank (Joanne), and Rosa (Chad) as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Catherine, and son, Jeremy.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 15, 2021 at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine Rd, Machesney Park, IL 61115. A visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m., Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at the funeral home. Entombment in Sunset Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation for a memorial to the family.
