Donald Edward Brovold, 68, Davis, Illinois, passed away at Swedish American Hospital on March 5, 2012. He was born on December 7, 1943 to Clifford and Rosceil (Prueher) Brovold in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin.
Donald served in the United States Army where he was stationed in Germany. He was honorably discharged in 1965.
He married Mary Kay Zenner in 1964 Chippewa Falls and later moved to Rockford.
He was employed as a professional truck driver for several companies.
Donald is survived by his wife, Mary Kay; sons Clifford Brovold, Kurt (Brenda)Brovold; and daughter Kimberly Brovold. He is also survived by grandchildren Jordanne, Sydney and a sister RoseMary(Mike) Turner.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 8, 2012, 1pm at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N Alpine Rd, Machesney Park, with a 2 pm funeral service. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Pastor John White will be officiating.
