Donna S. Burch

Donna S. Burch, 88 of Rockford passed away August 31, 2014. Born November 25, 1925 in Streator, she was the daughter of Esra F. and Lena (Matthes) Shoots. She married John W. Burch on November 6, 1965 in Rockford.

She graduated from Streator Township High School and Rockford Business School. Donna was employed by Rockford Screw Products and then OSF St. Anthony Hospital where she retired.

A member of Court Street United Methodist Church, she was very active in the United Methodist Women’s Circle until her health declined. She was also a volunteer for OSF St. Anthony Hospital.

She enjoyed spending her time sewing, needle point, and traveling the world with her husband.

Survivors include her step-daughters, Louise Magnani and Marian (Dave) Ericksen; 4 step-grandchildren, 7 step-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents, husband, step-great-granddaughter, sister, Nathella Baker; and twin brother, Donald Shoots.
