Donna M. Fullerton, 75, of Rockford, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, September 12, 2011. Donna, the daughter of Howard and Marian Houy, was born on August 21, 1936 in Galena, IL. She married David Fullerton in 1959. Together they enjoyed traveling to craft shows to display their creations. Dave was the craftsman and Donna was the artist. They also journeyed to Branson, MO to visit with family accompanied by their poodle Dilly. Donna enjoyed playing Bunco, after retirement she enjoyed cooking and catering for the parties of friends. Donna is survived by her son Dennis (Julia) Fullerton, grandson Nathan Fullerton, all of Westchester IL, brother Michael (Gerri) Houy of Machesney Park. She is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and brother Duane Houy. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 15, at 2 p.m. at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N Alpine Rd. Machesney Park IL 61115. Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until the time of services. Burial will follow the service at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
