Dora M. Miller

Dora M. Miller, 92, of Machesney Park, IL died peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, July 18, 2017. Grandma Dora to everyone! The angels on earth were all her grand, great and great-great grandchildren. She was most comforted when surrounded by all the family especially the babies. In a life well celebrated, she raised 7 wonderful children, in a home filled with love. She made a career of taking care of people, always first up to babysit and for 7 years she worked at Estwing. Dora’s wish was granted on Saturday, July 15, when she attended the Pratt family reunion joining over 100 Pratt family members who surrounded her with love and kisses and pure joy. Dora was born in Millwood, MN on October 2, 1924, to R. Lee and Elsie Pratt. Survived by children, Tom (Betty), Bob (Debi), Dave (Linda), Roy (Sandy), Mel (Sue), Moose (Holly) Miller, Debbie Cedarleaf; 18 grandchildren; 58 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Emmajean Beebe and Frieda Triplett; many loving nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents; two brothers, Jerry and Wayne, two sisters, Irene Bourgeois and Angie (Blake) Langmeier; grandchildren, Joshua Miller, Trent Miller, David Miller, Ellen Cedarleaf; son-in-law, Fred Cedarleaf.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 22, at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine Rd., Machesney Park, IL, with visitation from 9 to 10 a.m. Burial following in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
