Doris Rinehart

Doris A. Rinehart, 81, of Rockford, passed away peacefully on December 22, 2012, surrounded by her family at her son’s home in Leaf River. Born on August 2, 1931 in Mount Carroll, she was the daughter of Earl and Grace (Garman) Keim. She married Melvin Rinehart on October 1, 1953.

A member of Cherry Valley United Methodist Church, she attended Rockford Business College, and she was employed by Coopers & Lybrand for 38 years.

Doris enjoyed quilting, spending time with her granddaughters, attending Shepards Center Senior Group, and her dog Cooper.

She leaves behind to share her memories, her son, Joel (Debbie) Rinehart; granddaughters, Delaina, Courtney, Mikaela, and Karalee Rinehart, all of Leaf River; sister, Betty Berley of Omaha, NB, and many nieces, nephews and friends.

She was predeceased by her husband, Melvin; son, John; parents, Earl and Grace Keim; brother, Bob Keim; sisters Ethel Rodemeyer and Lucille Lovett

Funeral service, 12 p.m., Friday, December 28, at Cherry Valley United Methodist Church, 112 South Cherry Street Cherry Valley. Pastor Monty Fox officiating.
