Dorothy D. Woodyard

Dorothy D. Woodyard, 81, of Machesney Park, IL, died, Monday, March 12, 2018. Born March 28, 1936 in South Beloit, IL, to Fred and Kathrine Nichelson. Married Vinton Woodyard. Dorothy become family to the Harlem School District and became known as the lunch lady at Harlem High School for 32 years. She looked forward to her morning coffee clutch group, donating money to casinos, and the annual family camping vacations in Rice Lake.

Survived by husband of 53 years, Vinton; children, Mary (Mark) O’Neal, and Brian Woodyard; grandchildren, Sean O’Neal and Isabel Woodyard; great-grandson, Elijah O’Neal; siblings, Jerry (Jackie) Nichelson, Emma Peterson; good friend, Joan Arle. Preceded in death by three sisters.
