Douglas R. Perry, 79, of Machesney Park, IL, joined his wife, Susan, 26 hours after her, on Saturday, May 6, 2023 at Cherryvale Place. He was born May 7, 1943 in Rockford, IL, the son of Milton and Elvina (Erlandson) Perry. Douglas served in the United States Navy and went on to work at Xerox for his entire career. Doug married the love of his life, Susan Dallavo on January 3, 1975. He enjoyed boating, snowmobiling, doing yard work, home repairs and was a Chicago sports fan.
Doug is loved and missed by his children, Keith (Jesy) Perry and Kevin (April) Perry; grandchildren, Noah, Nina, Aiden and Kelsey; brothers, Curt (Sue) and Roger (Bell); nieces and nephews, Scott, Marc, Dawn, Becky, Brian, Kristin and Meghan. Doug was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Susan.
A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
