Edith "Edie" Johns

Edith “Edie” Johns, 61, of Roscoe passed away Friday, June25, 2010 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born December 23, 1948 in Rockford the daughter of John and Marie (Parkerson) Kellems. She worked at Acument Global Technologies Inc in Belvidere for many years. She enjoyed muscle cars, shopping, traveling and swimming with the dolphins. She loved spending time with her family and adored her grandchildren. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and will be deeply missed. Survived by her husband, Kenneth Johns; two daughters, Annette (Chris) Saddler and Anita (Billy) Liles; father of her children, Tony Rossi; sisters, Charlotte (Luke) Harper, Sandra (Gary) Roberson and Linda (Louie) Barker; brother, Jesse (Susie) Kellems; grandchildren, Trevor Saddler, Chace Saddler, Darianna Keister, Tyler Keister and Chloe Liles; many nieces, nephews; lifelong friend, Connie Nuckles. Predeceased by her parents and brother John Kellems Jr. Funeral service at 10 am on Tuesday, June 29, 2010 in Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine Rd. Entombment in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
