Edwin C. “The Lawnmower Man” Wynn, of Machesney Park, passed away Tuesday, July 31, 2012 surrounded by his family. A United States Army Veteran, he was born on September 25, 1932 in Sedgwick, AR, the son of Tramel and Effie May (Lawson) Wynn. He married Debra Coffman on December 26, 1985 in Rockford
The owner of Wynn’s Small Engines, he was a thirty year employee of Gunite Foundry, where he retired in July of 1985.
Edwin was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan, who loved fishing, gardening, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
His survivors include his wife Debra (Coffman) Wynn; sons Michael, John, and Robin Wynn; five grandchildren, nine great grandchildren; three sisters Melvie (Marion) Gardener, Echel (Oscar) Baker, and Velma Doyle.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Talmadge, Cleveland, and Tommy Wynn; and one sister Willie den Wynn.
