Ellen "Marie" Wahl

Ellen "Marie" Wahl, 84, passed away on July 6, 2015, in her home at Wesley Willows, surrounded by her loving family. She was born August 29, 1930, in Rockford, IL to Olive (Campbell) and Ole Ostergard, and attended Durand High School. Marie married Donald Eisen (widowed in 1958). In 1963 she married Wayne Wahl and they were married for 38 years, before Wayne passed away in 2000. Marie worked as a secretary at Pecatonica Elementary School for 22 years. Throughout her life Marie most enjoyed being surrounded by friends, family and laughter. During Wayne and Marie's retirement they enjoyed spending winters in Hawaii and Arizona. Marie enjoyed attending all activities offered at Wesley Willows. Marie is survived by her son, Steven (Bobbie) Eisen; daughter, Kathy (Dean) Weerda; grandchildren, Josh (Corinne) Weerda and Kari (Chris) Schmidt; great-grandchildren, Jake and Ashley Weerda; brothers, Ed Ostergard, Harvey (Carolyn) Ostergard, Morrie Ostergard (special friend Marlene Saelens), and Ray Lake; special cousins Bob (Sheryl) Henke; and dear friend, Elmer Gann. She is predeceased by her parents, her husbands, Donald Eisen and Wayne Wahl; brother, Bill Ostergard; sister-in-laws, Edna Ostergard and Zola Ostergard; sister, Marge Merideth.
