Emma Ruth Steinhardt, 83, of Rockford, passed away peacefully on Wednesday September 18, 2019. Born on January 26, 1936 in Kearney, Nebraska. Daughter of George Elmo “Ted” and Evelyn (Murrish) Frank. Her working career spanned from being a manager for Lillian’s Dress shop in Rockford, to secretarial and administrative for Sunstrand Aviation warranty division, to working retail for Macy’s department store. Former member of Court Street United Methodist Church. United in marriage to Frederick B. Rambow Jr in 1953 until 1965, Donald F. Comstock in 1966 until 1975 and then Donald Steinhardt in 1984 until his passing in 1984. In her younger years she found enjoyment in horseback riding, ballroom dancing even having competed, to playing the piano. Above all she loved her time spent with her family and friends.
Survived by her children, Thomas Rambow, John Rambow, Douglas (Christine) Rambow, Gregory (Lorna) Rambow, Richard (Maryann) Comstock, Kim (Matt) Hensley, Tanya Steinhardt; grandchildren, Tammy (David) Larsen, Ted (Kimberly) Rambow, Tiffany (Kyle) Eaton, Dylan Rambow, Kevin (Amanda) Rambow, Eric Rambow, Bryan Rambow, Kelly Rambow, Nicole Rambow, Benjamin (Taylor) Rambow, Daniel (Betsy) Rambow, Stephanie Comstock, Bradford Comstock; great-grandchildren, Caden Larsen, Katy Larsen, Dominic Cavallaro, Kayleigh Rambow, Oliver Rambow, Max Rambow, Charlie Rambow, Eddy Rambow and Ryan Eaton; brothers, Lloyd G. Frank, Rodney C. Frank. Predeceased by her parents; brother, Howard Lee Frank; daughter-in-laws, Ruth Rambow and Becky Rambow.
