Gene was a very "special neighbor". My mother lived across the street from Gene & Erma for 35 years and he always delivered the morning paper from the street to under the carport EVERY morning before sunrise. Real good guy that they don't make anymore. RIP Gene! Bob Kohlwes (Donabelle' Houser's son)

Gene was a wonderful neighbor. He always looked out for my property when I was gone. He would bring in my garbage cans. He kept me supplied with golf balls. He was a trusted friend. I am so sad at his passing. Beverly Neff (neighbor in the stone house)

Always enjoyed the time we spent with Gene and Erma. Gene was my step-father, Don Aulls's, brother. He and Don are probably up there having a great time, together again. Bob and Dawn Burke and family from Oregon, IL.

Gene was such a wonderful man with the gift of making everyone around him smile. My family knew him as Uncle Gene, as our mother was fortunate to marry Gene's brother, Don, who also has passed on. Heaven has called another very special man home. Our condolences to your family.
