Florence L. Robinson

Florence Robinson was born in Ottawa, La Salle County, Illinois on April 18, 1935 to the late Orville Grooms and Lillian Hoffman, passed away at the age of 87, early on May 9, 2022 from natural causes. Florence was lovingly known as Dewey. Florence was of the Baptist faith. Florence was a mother of 3 beautiful and successful children, and was a very hard working woman.

Survivors include two sons, Arthur Robinson of Montgomery, Texas, and William “Bill” Robinson and wife Kimberly, of Montgomery, Texas, and one daughter, Wanda (Robinson) Ritter of Rockford, Illinois, numerous grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Florence was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Allen Robinson and parents, Orville Grooms and Lillian Hoffman Grooms, one granddaughter, Wanda Sue Robinson of Rockford, Illinois.

Florence wants to be remembered as the loving and caring mother/ woman, that she was and that we should rejoice in this time as she has gone to be with her loving father in heaven.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, May 16, 2022 at Sunset Memorial Gardens, 8800 N. Alpine Rd, Machesney Park, IL 61115.
