Gary "Lucky" S. Laube

Gary S. “Lucky” Laube, 65, Durand, Il. was put out to pasture Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at his ranch surrounded by loving family, after surrendering to a courageous battle with cancer. Born February, 2, 1951 in Durand, Il. to Raymond and Pauline (Harris) Laube. In 1969, he graduated from Durand High School. Gary retired from Modern Plating after working for Amerock Corp. He was an amazing, husband, dad, poppy, and brother. Gary was powered by the love and passion of his ranch and family farm, raising, cattle and horses.

Survivors: wife, Brenda; children, Gary (Julie) Thornton, Steve (Chris) Laube and Penny (Shawn) Lee; grandchildren, Tyler, Cody Thornton, Emily and Erica Laube, Brenna (Adam) Lee, Justin Lee; sisters, Carol Roskos, Barb Lemons; brother, Ken (Marjorie) Laube; many nieces\nephews,aunts\uncles\cousins\in-laws, that will miss him dearly. Predeceased by his loving mother; sister; brothers.
