George E. Neblock, Jr., 65, of Machesney Park, IL, passed away on Sunday, October 8, 2023. He was born in Rockford on August 12, 1958, to George and Carol (Radke) Neblock. He married Romel Dalen, on December 6, 1988, and he became a father to two children, Keith (Karen) and Melissa (Lisa) Sundly. He later became a grandfather to Keith II, Dakota, Damian (Savannah) Sundly and Jayce Wells. George is also loved and missed by his mother, Carol (Radke) Neblock; sisters, Susan (Walt) Seaworth and Pam (Glenn) Heidenreich; as well as numerous sister-in-laws, Wendy (Andy), Moana, brother-in-laws, Laird and Tracy, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, George E. Neblock, Sr. and brother, Gregory E. Neblock.
Throughout George's life, he touched the lives of many and was always considered a joy to be around. George worked at Hydro-Line for many years until they closed. And later, as a truck driver, to care for his family. George will always be remembered as a "Kind-hearted soul who would give anyone the shirt off his back" George never said "No" to anyone. George's hobbies include his love of outdoors, camping, fishing, auctions, his motorcycle, and spending time with his family and friends. His passion for life, love of family, and annual October bonfires for family and friends were his joy. Most of all, George was a very supportive grandfather and always cheered on his grandchildren. George will be missed greatly by those who loved and knew him.
A visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 14, 2023 at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine Rd, Machesney Park, IL 61115 with a funeral service to begin at 11:00 a.m. Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
