Grant Sundstrom

Grant Sundstrom, age 26, of Loves Park, Illinois passed away on Friday, October 30, 2026. He was born February 25, 2000 in Rockford, Illinois to Tom and Trisha (Verken) Sundstrom. Grant graduated from Harlem High School in 2018 and went on to Southern New Hampshire University to earn his Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology. He married the love of his life, Mackenzie Hinshaw, on July 18, 2026.

Grant enjoyed playing the guitar and video games, especially horror games. His signature cooking dish was steak and potatoes. He was happiest at home with his wife and kitties. Grant enjoyed watching Chicago sports, the Bulls were his favorite. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family.

Grant is survived by his wife, Mackenzie Sundstrom; parents, Tom and Trisha Sundstrom; brother, Drake (Molly) Sundstrom; paternal grandmothers, Terry Seebach and Ellen Sundstrom; and fur babies, Henry, Harper, and Howard.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Richard Sundstrom; and maternal grandmother, Elaine Verken.
