Hannah Jeanette Gillis 91, died September 29, 2016. She was born October 21, 1924 in Waterman IL, to Simuel and Bessy Baker. She married Robert Gillis on March 7, 1947 and together they moved to Rockford IL. Hannah worked as a nurse for many years at Cotta Transmission and later at Rockford Memorial Hospital. Hannah had many joys in her life including, watching her favorite sports team the Cubs, fishing at their cabin on Lake Nancy in Wisconsin, working in the garden, riding horses, and bowling. Above all these however Hannah enjoyed spending time with her family.
Hannah is survived by; sons; Gordon Gillis, and Bradley (Mary) Gillis, grandchildren; Tina Schoenherr, Kaly Gillis, Daniel (Chris) Gillis, Kim Allen-Holman, 7 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.
Hannah is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, 4 brothers, and a sister
