Harlan W Scott

Harlan W. Scott, 80, of Alton Missouri, passed away Friday, October 2, 2020. Born May 29, 1940 in Humboldt, IL. Son of Raymond and Frankie (Shain) Scott. He married the love of his life Carol Ann McIntire on February 7, 1959. She predeceased him on January 21, 2020. During the years, he worked at Atwood and Rockford Drop Forge as a Welder Fabricator. Harlan found great enjoyment in the outdoors fishing, boating and or camping. He loved life on the farm and to tinker on his tractors. Together with Carol Ann they traveled in their RV.

Harlan is survived by children; Keith J. Scott of Rockford, Lennet A. (Delmer) Crabtree of Alton, MO, Sandy M Hamilton of Rockford, and Dorothy L. Bates of Rochelle; grandchildren, Nathan Scott (Christine Anderson), Dustin McIntire, Kile Hamilton (Lisa Atanasoff), Anna Barton, Tyler Crabtree (Kimberly Lambert), Kayla Isalgue, and Amber Wright; great-grandchildren, Izabella McIntire, Zander McIntire, and Jackson Barton, siblings, Richard Scott, Glenda Burman; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Harlan is also survived by loving extended family members, Tracy Nichole (James) King with Madyson, Michael Crabtree, Jeremy (Jennifer) with Jacen and Juliana Crabtree, Christopher (Alejandra) Crabtree, Tristan Buntenbach with Breana and Zachary Garrison, Diana Wrenschinski with Natalyia, Sherri Buntenbach with Cara Sandoval, Robert “Bobby” Tiedtke, with Krystal Tiedtke, as well as Edward Tiedtke.

Predeceased by his parents; spouse, Carol Ann; brother, Junior Scott; sister, Jackie Addington; sister-in-law, Beverly Scott. Very special thanks to Connie Tharp and Brenda Charbauski for all their loving care of our Dad.

Celebration of Life Private Family Funeral Service at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, October 7 at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine Rd, Machesney Park. Walk Thru Visitation for Friends and Guests beginning at 9 a.m. until time of service. Social Distancing and Facial Masks required. Entombment to follow services in Sunset Memorial Gardens Chapel of Peace.
