

Harold was born in Neillsville, WI on May 16, 1922, the son of Earl and Bernice Scott. Harold married Norma A Calhoun on October 15, 1941 and she preceded him in death on October 7, 1993. Harold was employed by Be-Mac Transportation Company for 40 years and a veteran of the U. S. Navy. Harold was a lifetime member of VFW Post 9759, member of American Legion Post 0257. Harold loved woodworking, fishing, dancing and was known as “Mr. Fix It”.
Harold is survived by his children: Sandra Gioja, Donna Krueger (Gary), Cathy Thompson, Gail (Don) Alberts, Kay (Jeff) Stone and daughter-in-law Shirley Scott; siblings: Jeanice Hummer, Doris Herrewig, Diane Chase and Ronald (Cal) Scott; 16 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great granddaughter and several nieces and nephews.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents, wife Norma, son Glenn, brothers Marvin, Arnold, Bob, Dale “Pete”, sister Elaine, grandsons Ben and Frank, great granddaughter Avery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the family to be used later in Harold’s memory.
Visitation for Harold will be Friday April 15, 2016 at Sunset Funeral Home 8800 N. Alpine Road in Machesney Park from 2:00 – 3:00 pm with a service to follow immediately. Burial with Military Honors will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
