Helen J. (Crafton) Johnson, 93, of Rockford, Illinois passed away July 16, 2021 peacefully in her sleep. Helen was born on November 26, 1927 in Corning, Arkansas to Poe and Louticia Crafton. A few years after graduating High School Helen moved to Rockford in 1956. She held various jobs throughout her career, eventually retiring from Nylint Toy Manufacturing.
Helen is survived by her daughter, Deborah (Tom Marken) Jackson; granddaughter, Ally (Jon Silsby) Weinberg- Silsby; great granddaughter, Reed; brothers, Eddie Poe and Bob Crafton; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband early in life, Gerald Jackson; second husband Robert Johnson; parents Poe and Louticia Crafton; siblings, Carl, Tommy, Ralph “Snooks”, Gerald Theodore “Doc”, Lester, Edna, Lena, Tressie, Elsie, Rose, and Shirley.
Services will be private in Corning, Arkansas. In Lieu of Flowers donations can be made to The American Cancer Society.
