

Helen M. Schutt, 85, of Rockford passed away peacefully, Thursday, Jan. 31, 2013, after a brief illness. Born April 30, 1927, in Cleveland, Miss., she was the daughter of Pat and Mollie (Isreal) Donley. In 1961, she married William "Bill" Schutt in Rockford. Helen retired from Woodward Governor after 25 years of employment. She enjoyed walking the trails of the Rockford area and eating at Taco Bell daily. Survivors include her daughter, Myra Reeves; granddaughters, Alexandra (John) Hall and Elizabeth Reeves; great-grandchildren, Myra and Jerimiah Hall, Ava and Miley Jorschumb; brother, Sam Donley of Kingsland, Ark.; and sisters, Ruby Delorme of Peoria and Patsy Huff of Braxton, Mississippi. She was predeceased by her husband, William "Bill" Schutt; parents; and five brothers and sisters. The family wishes to thank VNA Hospice and the nurses of Rosewood Care Center for the special care given to Helen. Funeral service at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 4, at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine Road, Machesney Park, with Pastor Anthony Maynard officiating. Interment to follow the funeral service in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
