Hershel Burleson JR., 66, of Rockford passed away Friday, November 7, 2014.
Born October 9, 1948 in Rockford to Hershel Sr. and Velma (Niswonger) Burleson.
Hershel was a loving father and grandfather. He was an avid motorcyclist and he loved old western movies.
He will be truly missed.
Survivors include daughters, Raven Burleson and Stacey (Mark) Bryant; 4 grandchildren, Rhiannon, Garion, Aaron, and Kadin; brother, Terry Burleson; sister, Charlotte (Karl) Opperman; a niece and nephews.
Predeceased by his parents and half-brother.
Visitation 10 a.m. Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine Rd, Machesney Park. Interment in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Online condolences may be submitted at www.sunsetfhmemgardens.com.
