

Inga G. Pearson, 74, of Rockford passed away peacefully on Sunday January 24, 2016 at 5:34pm after a long battle with M.S. Inga passed away at Presence Saint Anne Center in Rockford, and was a previous resident at River Bluff Nursing Home. Inga was born in Stuttgart, Germany on May 16, 1941. After marrying a U.S. Solider in Germany, Inga came to the states to begin a new life with her husband and their daughter in 1963. Shortly after coming to the U.S. she studied and obtained her citizenship. Prior to her arrival here Inga completed several college courses which would be equivalent to a Bachelors Degree. Inga worked as a Secretary to the President of Excelsior, Inc. in Rockford for many years. Inga always made sure to see the best in everyone. She was caring, loving, and fun to be around. Inga loved to socialize, laugh, dance, watch ice skating, and liked all varieties of music. She always had a smile on her face, and was sure to make everyone around her smile as well. Inga was predeceased by her parents Hans and Liddy (Dunger) Burkard. Inga is survived by her daughter Diana (Jamie) Wisocki; granddaughter Nicole Wisocki; grandson Cody (fiancée Katie Tapp) Wisocki; great-grandchildren Logan Wisocki and Justin Rosquist; sister Ursula (Virgil) Damron of West Virginia; and brother Rolf (Birgit) Burkard of Germany, and several other nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff at St. Anne Center for welcoming Inga into their facility and providing the best care they could during her stay. We would also like to thank Heartland Hospice Care for the moral and emotional support they provided for the family during this tough time. The family would like everyone to please leave their fondest memories they shared with Inga on this current website.
A memorial gathering to celebrate Inga’s life will be Thursday January 28, 2016 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Sunset Funeral Home 8800 N. Alpine Road in Machesney Park, IL.
